Curious, we reached out for more details and did some further research. Upon closer inspection, the offer seemed to involve a savings mechanism rather than actual insurance coverage.
The ad suggested that certain health insurance plans "cover" ADHD-related expenses. However, based on our findings, this coverage actually works through a self-funded savings account. Instead of the insurer covering the costs, you would contribute to a savings account each month, from which ADHD-related expenses are deducted.
In other words, rather than providing direct financial coverage, this setup functions as a budgeting tool, allowing individuals to set aside funds in advance. While it may help with managing expenses, it does not offer true financial relief in the way one might expect from insurance coverage.
